If roasting is as simple as turning coffee from green to brown, anyone could literally do it even on a frying pan over a fire stove! Having said that, neither is it a rocket science to attain a roast for acceptable consumption. With the right application of Seed, Machine, Process and Taste, one can attain mastery over it to achieve a coffee beverage of extraordinary quality and pleasure. Here in this ‘Coffee Excellence’ episode of ‘Roasting Fundamentals’, we embark on this learning competency to facilitate and kickstart your journey of becoming a coffee roaster!

This course is designed for those who wants to work as Coffee roasting master, who wants to create better Coffee brands by improving roasting methods.

achieved by producers, and supporting collaborative work across the value chain, advocating coffee education is a major focus in his pursuit.

A Q Arabica Grader and Q Level 2 Processing Professional, Javier has judged in numerous coffee harvest competitions and barista
competitions in Myanmar. He was also a judge in ASEAN’s very first ACID ASEAN Coffee Brewers Cup held in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2019.
