Filter Brewing Fundamentals

Filter brewing is perhaps the truest and purest manner of consuming coffee without the exorbitant expenses involved with purchasing an espresso machine – an enjoyable cup achieved in the most affordable way. This ‘Coffee Excellence’ episode on ‘Filter Brewing Fundamentals’ will provide you the key basics of brewing filter coffee even at home. What are the various methods – Immersion and Pourover? Learn what brewing extraction is and how every step of the brewing process affects extraction and ultimately, its impact on flavour and mouthfeel. Finally, a V60 brewing will be demonstrated for you to follow along. With that, some brewing tips will be provided to improve your brewing.

This course is designed for those who wants to work as Coffee brewing professional and for those who wants to improve brewing skills.

A Q Arabica Grader and Q Level 2 Processing Professional, Javier has judged in numerous coffee harvest competitions and barista
competitions in Myanmar. He was also a judge in ASEAN’s very first ACID ASEAN Coffee Brewers Cup held in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2019.
